When you are running the Symantec Norton Antivirus with the Windows operating system and you try to install LiveUpdates you receive error code 536805375.

What to do when you see Windows code 536805375

The error occurs due to a problem with LiveUpdate and the Symantec Endpoint Protection. It can occur in Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 and there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to correct the error.

First it is necessary to uninstall LiveUpdate. If you are using Windows XP click on Start on the main toolbar and then choose Control Panelfrom the menu. When the Control Panel window opens choose Add or Remove Programs and then click on Live Update. Click on Change/Remove and then follow the instructions that walk you through process.

To uninstall LiveUpdates in Windows Vista and Windows 7 click on Start on the main toolbar and then choose Control Panel. When the Control Panel window opens click on Programs and Features and then choose LiveUpdatefrom the list. Click on Uninstall/Change and then follow the prompts which will step you through the uninstall.
To uninstall the Symantec Endpoint Protection feature, if you are using Windows XP click on Start on the primary toolbar and then choose My Computer. Double click on C Driveand then choose Program Files and click on Symantecand delete it. Return to Program Files and then choose Common Files and then click on Symantec Shared and delete. Return to C Drive under My Computer and choose Documents and Settings then click on All Users. Choose Application Dataand then click on Symantecand delete.

If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 click on Starton the main toolbar and choose My Computer and click on Drive C. Click on Program Filesand then choose Symantec and delete. If you are using Windows Vista the previous instructions are slightly different and instead through My Computer you follow the path: C:\Users\All Users\Symantec\. Once you have deleted LiveUpdate and Symantec Endpoint Connection shut down your PC and then reboot then reinstall LiveUpdate and Symantec Endpoint Connection.
