Windows error code 109139 can be solved. Check out our guide for troubleshooting the error code and how to prevent it from coming back in the future.

The Problem

This error code is associated with the Nintendo Wii. WiiConnect 24 allows your console to receive downloads when the console isn’t in use, so long as it is connected to the Internet.

Make sure you have WiiConnect24 turned on, and in Standby Connect mode. WiiConnect24 lets you receive information such as News and Weather, messages on the Wii message Board, and messages directly from Nintendo telling you about all the cool new features they’re coming out with. To access WiiConnect24 settings, first access the Wii System Settings. Cursor over the blue arrow on the right side, and select it one time. You will reach System Settings 2, and there, you can choose “WiiConnect24”. Once there, you will have three options. You can enable WiiConnect24, you can put it on Standby Connection, and you can enable the Slot Illumination. Turning on WiiConnect24 will let your console access the Internet to accept services and messages. If WiiConnect24 is off, you will see the error code 109139 “WiiConnect24 is not enabled.” The error message simply means that you will not receive that information—all other features and functions are still available and you can still play on your Wii. Once you’ve turned on WiiConnect24, you can set it to operate on Standby mode. Just select “on” through the Standby option and it will operate 24 hours a day to receive information.
